I have decided to introduce myself? A little history of who I am now. I live in Seattle Wash. I am adopted and have known forever that I was adopted. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 15, 1952. My adopted parent where Basil William King and Kathleen Margaret McLeod. I lived in Edmonton for ten years and my Father was transfered to Seattle. Both my adopted parents are deceased. Adoptees have the right to request information about adoption from the province of Alberta. The process was very long, I almost forgot that I requested it? But, I received an envelop with my history. In Alberta when a mother is unmarried she still must name a baby. My birthname is GORDON CAMERON. I wish to thank Thomas for supplying me with this website, I have found my roots-my family. With great joy my puzzle is almost completed. What a joy to read-search-educate oneself about his-her own bloodlines. By the way Thomas we are related by BLOOD, just not name? My Great Grandfather is David Allan Cameron 1848-1902. He married my Great Grandmother Georgina Elizabeth Sebastian 1857-1944 in Lloydminster Alberta. My Grandfather is Albert Edward Cameron 1887-1968 in Wainwright Alberta. He married my Grandmother Hazel Irene Hannah 1889-1967. Their family included one son I believe born in 1925. Three daughters oldest born 1921; my Mother born 1930; another sister born in 1934. My Birthmother is Dorothy Mae Cameron (MacKinnon) 1930-1992 born in Lloydminster Sask. My mother started another family marrying Lloyd MacKinnon they had three children Richard MacKinnon-Scott MacKinnon and Tracey Hemstock(MacKinnon). They are my three half-brothers and half-sister. I wish that someday they will openly accept me as just as a brother. A very grateful brother that is so proud to be a Cameron. I now understand my soul, desire, pride, spirit, I am a warrior, trust me! I hope my brothers-sister will educate me on the life they shared with my mother? I want to know everything? Thomas did you ever meet this part of the family? My mother Dorothy Mae Cameron? Many family members are buried in Provost, Alberta together. I will visit someday? I will visit Barr-Colony to see a bust of Great Grandmother Georgina and hockey skates of Great Uncles. Thomas you have heard from me. I am a piece of the family tree missing? I hope all that read this can respond and educate me? My heart is Cameron and I bleed the blood of proud Cameron-line. I'm so lucky, trust me I am a warrior, I'm a Cameron. Please open your hearts-souls and stories and fill the gaps of my family. John Lennon passed away Dec 8, 1980 but let the Cameron music-stories live on forever! I proudly announce again, my name is GORDON CAMERON. Who was I named after?

My mother was one of Dorothy's cousins. I knew her only vaguely as she was much younger than my mother, but I was very close to Uncle Bert and Aunt Hazel as my grandfather Bob Cameron lived with us until I was 15 and they would visit frequently with him. Gordon Cameron is Bert's brother - he was a rogue bachelor brother but a real sweetheart. I know your Aunt is still alive in Vancouver, but I believe she is the only one. Most of that generation are gone. I am sure it was satisfying to find your family history - we are a crazy bunch. Lots of red hair.

With great joy and pride I announce that the signature and writing on my adoption papers confirms that Dorothy Mae MacKinnon(Cameron) is my birth mother. So I proudly state Gordon Cameron now J. Allen W. King is a Cameron. I thank my cousin Pat Lawerence for giving me vital information. Of course I wish to thank Thomas my cousin that formed this wonderful website. Thomas your website(Cameronville.com) kept me positive in my quest to find my family. Most of all I would like to thank my sister Tracy Hemstock(MacKinnon) for being such a kind soul, in an awkward time. My research for my family roots was difficult-time consuming. In the end, worth every second I put forth. One reaps the fruit of time with patience. The fruit comes from a tree, that family tree is Cameron. Crooked-old-strong-warrior I proclaim I'm a Cameron. I promise not to fall out of the tree, ever. I belong...

Dear Camerons: Today was a beautiful day. My sister Tracy Hemstock(MacKinnon) sent me pictures of my birth mother. To see pictures of ones mother for the first time in your life, what a joy. When I wrote e-mails to friends, I cried for joy realizing, this wonderful occasion. I see the resemblance, but I'm prejudice of course. The nose, thin lips, eyes. Mango: I live in Seattle. It is my wish to meet all Cameron or relatives. There is a picture of sisters(Dorothy-Madeline-Dene,Mona-Jo) and brother(Edward) and father(Edward Albert)-mother(Hazel). There is young woman in the middle of the picture, it is Mona(Jo). She is so beautiful-stunning. I have a photo of her June 19-1990, my question to you is she alive? Does she want to meet me? How about you? Do you wish to meet me? I hope you understand the need for me to meet all Camerons-relatives. My wish is for my mother to smile from heaven, knowing her first children is caring-wishing-loving this family, he does not know. I pray that you understand my position. This son will not settle for anything else but the truth. Please reach out-touch-feel the cousin that should be heard. Am I asking for to much! God Bless my Cameron family, my blood family-my thoughts, my ideas, my life. Please understand.

Saturday March 7 2009. I J. Allen W. King born Gordon Cameron 04-15-1952 has discovered his family. In Vancouver B.C. I meet my Mothers older sister Madeline Margaret Sjogren (Cameron)-1921 and her daughter my cousin Betty. Our reunion was unbelievable. I have waited to be hugged-held-kissed-accepted for me. My dream has come true-no nightmare. Next in line will be Mona Joan Girling (Cameron)-1934 the younger sister to my mother Dorothy Mae MacKinnon (Cameron) 1930-1992. The adventure continues but now I really feel connected-I'm one of you. Get ready for stories-hugs-laughs I will invade. The road has had many one-way streets and detours. But I have many angels that have guided me through these struggles. No more U-turns it is straight ahead. I will win-I will conquer-I will not be denied. Cameron is in my blood-proven without a doubt. Do not fear, but reach out, feel my strength, my strength is your strength. The battle is not over, but victory is near. I ask you to look into my eyes to see the truth. It is there. Yes, a Cameron is born again.

I live in the North East of England, my gt grandmother was Catherine Cameron of Sunart. She lived on the banks of Loch Sunart in a farm called 'Camasinus'. She married an English person called Cornelius King and birthed my grandmother,Louisa Catherine in 1869. Catherine Cameron had a father called Ewan Cameron m Janet Cameron nee McDonald,he was a sawmiller and owned the mill near the farm. Her 3 brothers were Duncan, Hugh and William; she had one sister called Mary, born 1844. The family spoke Gaelic as their first language. My father, Mark Cameron Ramshaw, 1900-1959, instilled into his family the name of the farm and other little stories about the Camerons. Does anyone know anything about this family./ Myself and son went to Loch Sunart, 2006, but although everyone was a Cameron noone seemed to have any recollection of our family,I was furious to find the sawmill had become someone's holiday home! Did the brotherss emigrate to US or Canada? We have horses, my son hopes to train as a farrier, he was made redundant from his welding position because of the recession..Glen is 6'7" tall with khaki eyes, built like a train. I have green eyes, my maternal grandmother was Swedish. Christine Cameron-Ramshaw
